  • Work with the creative director and the photographer to layout and design the print catalogs. 4 - 5 catalogs per year. Responsible for catalog production process, catalog paper buying, setting up press time with Quad Graphics and managing all pre-press handling of catalog files.
  • Conduct 3 - 5 day press runs to oversee printing quality and color accuracy.
  • Redesigned the customer e-newsletter and increased effectiveness and portion of sales through the e-newsletter threefold.
  • Manage bi-weekly customer e-newsletters: responsible for quarterly planning, creation of each e-newsletter, organizing work schedules, and sending e-newsletter through a mass mailer program.
  • Update homepage on weekly basis. Work with CTO to design and build new webpages and graphics.
  • Design and create print ads, mailings, edit logo and design corporate identity papers.

  • Manage all press inquiries, press updates and interact with editors on daily basis to promote products and fulfill press requests.
  • Increased press placements in 2006 over three-fold from previous year.
  • Host annual press days to give editors a preview of new products.
  • Plan, coordinate and design press mailings and e-newsletters to showcase new products.
  • Editor product sample return rate increased from 37% in 2005 to 63% in 2006.

Smithsonian Postal Museum Internship, Washington DC
Summer 2003

Web Designer/Exhibits Intern. Designed and created the website showcasing the museum’s summer exhibit, Art of the Stamp. Project included content organization, navigation layout of web pages, design presentation and creation of over 300 pages done in Macromedia Dreamweaver and Photoshop. View website. Also assisted with the creation and opening of the summer exhibit in the gallery, attended exhibit planning meetings, senior staff meetings and publicity events.

Museum volunteer and paid position. Prepared and opened the fall 1999 museum exhibit dealing with the unpacking and organizing of museum artifacts. Entered information about artifacts into the computer database. As a volunteer: organized files, worked at the front desk greeting visitors, managed front desk phones and did miscellaneous secretarial jobs. Commended for my perfomance by the curator of the museum, and was then asked to work in a paid position.
